I used to shop exclusively at Shoprite West Caldwell (NJ) until I discovered Rt 10 Farmer's Market. I now buy 90-95% of produce at R 10 FM because it is MUCH less expensive. Although some items can be borderline fresh at times, almost all produce is fresh where at Shoprite so much of it is pre packaged a week or so ago. Quality and selection of R 10 FL produce is also better. It also has a deli counter that looks nice but can't beat Shoprite. I do buy my fresh feta cheese blocks and Greek olives there. Lots of foreign items in jars are also available along with a great selection of foreign pastas. Avoid Mondays as shelves need to be restocked from weekend shoppers. I'm a regular now

Yes, cheap groceries here and no fuss, and a lot of fresh vegetables but the quality varies. Watch what you pick, the workers aren't gentle with the produce so I would watch for bruising. 5$ minimum for credit cards, but they are good. You can buy reusable bags now. Lines can be long if they only have a few workers at the cashier.

Prices very good. New registers print out the receipt with all your items listed including quantity/weight and price over each/ lb. Before it would just say produce and a total. Quality has improved too.
