This is an absolutely stunning fall, going to both viewpoints my watch tracked it at just a mile. So it is a very quick, but STEEP hike. It is definitely worth stopping at, especially if you're already in the area for other hikes

Snowy and Icy on that single road going up today folks. 2/13/22 Super Bowl Sunday. We had to turn around unfortunately. Luckily we were able to turn around. Kinda bummed. Never been there. Just be safe driving there right now.

The Trailhead is difficult to find, and hardly marked at all. I found it was best to ignore the Google Maps directions once you get close, within maybe half a mile, and then start looking for a large dirt pull out on the right with space for 10 or 15 cars, that's where you want to park. The trailhead is just on the other side of the road from that parking area.
Same, it was open at the beginning of the fires. Not sure now . . .
