It is a shame they are, indeed, understaffed. It is a nice store where you can buy just about anything. However, if you need a lot of personal assistance or have a handicap, it is not a good store, and most department stores have this in common. You can start with the person at the front door, but they cannot leave the front door, and while they are able to page someone to assist, it can take a while to get some assistance. If you are handicapped, going all the way to the front of the store, when you need assistance in the back is not very good. This store is nice, but, as short staffed as they are, you have to be pretty self-sufficient to shop there.
It depends on the PC (I work here at geeksquad) and I can tell you more often then not it's better to just buy a new laptop. If it's a hardware issue. It's $84 non refundable deposit to ship to our service center. They then call you with a estimate for parts and labor. You either approve or deny that estimate. Then the unit gets shipped back to us. It takes about 3 to 4 weeks for the whole process. And anything over 4 years we won't ship out because parts and impossible to find for legacy hardware. Also make sure you make a appointment before you come in. I've had to turn away alot of people because I was booked and have to help the appointments first.
