First time out on this course. Mid September, golf 2022, perfect weather here. Best greens I've played this year, rolled smooth and fast. A few dry areas on the fairways and the occasional weedy spot, very playable, natural feeling landscape, not overly primped up. Cross walls, precision carries, sloped greens and a few tight approaches make this a challenging and interesting place to play.

Nice course for the value. It’s not a country club for for the price it’s a great deal

The course is a truly memorable experience!!! On a hot day, be sure to park under the overhanging hedge when you arrive to keep your car cool. Very kind and welcoming folks greet you and are eager to offer tips and to share the club history for those golf course architecture junkies like me. The old farm house serves as a charming pro shop and then there is the course!!! A one of a kind relic that will transport you back in time and make you think you a golfing in the early 1900s. If you have an old set of hickories, bring them! The layout offers nine unique and diverse holes that offer a wide range of yardages, encourage risk reward play, give you lots of different shot types, and will have you using every club in your bag. The course transforms quickly from a tranquil wooded hollow into a secret and beautifully pastoral parkland abutting the cove. I find I love to stand on the 3rd tee and take in the view while enjoying the peaceful setting. Cool breezes further enhance the challenge and give the course a linksy feel. The historic stone walls add a fun and quirky, yet fair, challenge and the greens are simply beautiful. This place is a labor of love and it shows. Too often these gems are lost to father time. If you truly want to play golf at it's purest and experience the game at it's roots, you will love Marion Golf Club! Honestly, this is one of my favorite places to golf!

A very friendly 9-hole course.
