Aumiller Gun Shop Visited Aumiller Gun Shop, the shop is a longtime fixture in Westerville with a history going back more the eighty years through several owners. The building Aumiller Gun Shop is located in the basement of the historic Holmes Hotel. Located on the corner of State St. and W. Main St. in Uptown Westerville. The Holmes Hotel was built in 1889. No longer a hotel the building now houses offices, a coffee shop, a pharmacy, an art gallery and of course a gun shop. The Shop The shop is well stocked and clean. You don’t need to take a number here to be helped and prices on most items are very competitive. The atmosphere is what you’d expect from a long established firearms business, honestly this place reminds me of a better time, a time long in the past. It is a store, not a museum but….. As stated Aumiller Gun Shop is a store not a museum but if you are a student of firearms history, you will see things in the shop that you won’t see anywhere else outside of a museum. There are many historic firearms that that former owner and the store’s namesake Dan Aumiller collected over his long tenure as the store’s owner. The people The current staff at the shop are a friendly bunch who truly do wish to help and answer any questions you may have. They are knowledgeable without appearing arrogant and not above being corrected if proven wrong. Bottom line Really impressed that a business (any business) can operate for so long without substancial change and still keep their customer base happy. I have been a customer for more than forty years and have always been a happy customer. I would have no reservations in recommending Aumiller Gun Shop to a friend.

A fun little gun store. Usually "fun little store" isn't used to describe a place selling guns, but this is a welcome escape if you're being dragged from boutique to antique store to boutique. I liked their selection (big for such a small space) and I enjoyed looking at the history on the walls (MP-40, for example; can be yours for the price of a Prius and trunkload of yoga pants). And they had ammo in stock, which says a lot for a store when I visited.

They have a selection of black powder weapons so I think the answer will be yes.
