Yes, they claim everything is confidential to protect all parties involved when submitting a complaint. They even say you SHOULD submit a complaint if you feel you have been treated unprofessionally. In reality it seems they don't investigate anything and make you wait months with NO contact just to inform you in one single sentence, "No violation found " Seems the client is being treated unprofessionally all the way around. The board clearly doesn't enforce their own rules. Don't submit a complaint because it will get dismissed and all you are doing is ensuring these people job security. And you'll be getting traumatized a second time. And before you see a therapist ask yourself how these people are being regulated and observed behind closed doors. They aren't. That's what makes this profession dangerous and even life threatening to some. Zero accountability for bad outcomes and this licensing board knows it and doesn't protect the public from these bad therapists. Protect yourself always.

Basically useless, I reported a counselor who was in violation of a court order and guilty of parental alienation, giving plenty of evidence showing what was taking place. They ignored what I said and sided with their counselor

Send it straight to the board. They won't work hard for the money but gladly will take it.
If they had cared about the public, they would have answered your question. It's been my experience as well that they don't do much. Hope you are doing good for yourself and thriving.
God I hope not! I won't talk to a social worker and definitely wouldn't let them touch me. I think TMS is an updated form of electric shock therapy. They will think up anything to make a client/patient think they are helpless.

Yes, but it doesn't mean you are getting a good counselor either way. Matter of fact you are better off getting a sponsor from a 12 step program.
