I have tried to get some communication about my situation for over 4 months. Its crazy how bad they are on follow-up and solving customer concerns. My review is on the communication and the cooking classes. I booked a cooking class on 5/23/2022 and was very excited. My friends got me a gift card for xmas right before covid and I didn't want to do the online classes I wanted the in person but Covid stopped that. I had to wait till they resumed so I used my Giftcard and my credit card to pay for the class which was supposed to be on I think 5/25/2022 I drove all the way over at 2pm I had planned to spend the day at Easton and then go to my class for dinner. I received a phone call same day at 2pm telling me that the class was canceled due to the chef quitting. I had already arrived to the area and why did some of the other classes still have that chef.. well I was told the actual chef name on the reservation is not right its just a place holder. Well I asked if I could just be rebooked but the employee on the phone said he could not do that. I was baffled and said ok. He said I would get a refund for my Giftcard and my credit card. I waited 4 days and still nothing reached out to corp customer service and was told they would issue it. I kid you not still to this day after speaking to 6 people and over 10 emails I have not received my giftcard back. I spoke to one person in late June who seemed like she was going to help me. promised a call back and said that they were in the middle of basically cleaning house. Never heard from her again. The customer service and communication is likely the worst I have seen in a long time. This is sad because I love cooking and thought this would be a real fun experience to do multiple times. The woman I spoke too in June hinted at a free class due to this nonsense, I told her the rainbow pride cake sounded fun and again I have never heard back from her. So I still do not have my gift card and trying to get a reply from somone who cares has become a full time job. I even sent Easton an email about the situation and they said they were surprised by this and would let them know about the email. Based on this I would recommend a diffrent company for your cooking classes until they can get it together over there. Its just sad.

Just cancelled our cooking class a week before citing “staffing issues”. Full refund but super inconvenient.

First time in may very be my last time. While the selection was great, the prices were not. Customer service was HORRIBLE- wasn’t greeted the cashier was too busy holding a completely off topic conversation with a patron that had already been served. The other store associate totally ignored me EVEN while walking in front of me to grab items. I’d hate to say race played a part but I was the only person of color there besides the cashier that was unprofessionally preoccupied. The only reason I gave the store any business was because they are the only place that offered what I needed in store as opposed to online. Do better Sur La Table!
