Amazing place to camp and relax. My hubby and I stayed 4 night for the first time and we loved it . The staff was so helpful to us . They took the time to answer all our questions and the bathroom were very clean and well equipped.

It is a State Park and people are not supposed to swim by The Governor's order, but it is sooo hot! I guess I would if I was there , but they probably have a security station manning it.
No dogs in camping or swimming areas. Dogs ok on roads and trails. There are a couple with electricity and water that I have seen driving through, most do not.
Hopeville has to have reservations, go to the CT DEEP, WEBSITE.. I believe it was $24 a day and no dogs allowed in the campground... But ct budget changed so I'm not sure what the price is this year... The parks are always used as leverage by the governor's office so the fate of the parks has always been unsure, they can be closed at any time last year they closed in June.. Always check the website Also out of state vehicles, or driver license pay $10 more per day,
Yes there are! To rent or for more information go to the website or call (860) 376-0313
They can be used only when hanging on posts that are provided at each campsite. However they may Not be set up and roped to actual trees.
Great 👍
i think a tent site is $17 per day for CT residents
Pets are only allowed on walking trails, we just stayed in the campground and there is no pet signs posted everywhere. However, we saw dogs all around against the rules, not sure if its enforced.
Not that I've noticed
I wished I knew that. I have been there many times, but have never been boating. The DEP ONLINE should have a website or phone number to find out.
Currently not renting them, hopefully they will start again on the 12th, used to be 80 for residents but that could of changed
I saw numerous cars at 1 site, i don't thinks its enforced.
Yes, you can. Check CT DEEP site for limits and permits, and more info on local fishing spots
If you're a Connecticut resident there is no fee at all. I thonk it was $13 for out of state on the weekend. Free during the week. I'm not 100% if it's 13. I haven't looked in a long time at the sign. I just don't have the need to since I'm a ct resident. I'll have to look next time. Now that you've asked that. I was just there today too! It's worth the $! It's my favorite state park around me!
I've seen people use them. My guess is that they have to be turned off at 10 for quiet hours
There's a camping area that's pretty nice but no hook-ups and the sites are not real large. Alcohol is not allowed anywhere in the park including the campground if that's a concern.
