I am new to the area and my friend, a long-time resident, brought me to the apparel section of SH. While I loved the choices and the different labels they offer, I was very disappointed with the salesperson I dealt with. We were the only customers in the store, and I was carrying at least 8 items to try on (which became rather cumbersome), and although she saw me she didn't offer to put them in a dressing room for me (the other sales associate actually had to ask her to do that). She never once checked to see if I needed different sizes. And when she checked me out, she put the receipt in the bag and pushed the bag towards me, without saying "Thanks" or "Have a nice day" or anything -- she was simply silent. Again, this was my first trip to this store, and my friend, who is a long-time shopper there, was shocked at the unfriendliness of this sales associate, and said that it was uncharacteristic of the store. Despite having spent several hundred dollars there, she made me feel as if I were somehow unwelcome or undeserving of common courtesy -- a very unfortunate experience that will make me think twice about returning.
