I have been bringing my pets to Animal Hospital of Putnam for years -- back to when Dr. Smith was the primary vet. I was a bit worried when I learned she was retiring, but I shouldn't have been! Dr. LaPierre has been terrific and has provided top-notch care for my cats and dogs -- some of whom have had very serious health conditions. I have found her to be truly caring, dependable, knowledgeable and responsive -- all of which is so important when you're trying to do the best for your pets. I really do feel like they are in the best possible hands, which goes a long way for peace of mind. The staff is great, too. Highly recommend!

Meant to write a review awhile ago but was so very happy when they were able to do emergency surgery on my cat that needed. Dr. Lapierre was very kind and our cat is back to her old self.

We have vets you can examine birds but none are exotic specialists and all primarily see cats and dogs. If you would like to call the clinic with more specifics on what the birds would be coming in for we could better assist you.
Our vets are not exotics specialists and we are primarily a practice that sees cats and dogs. With that said our vets do have experience with pocket pet, reptiles etc. which would include chinchillas. We would be more than happy to see your pet.
