Every medical need is met with a bureaucratic nightmare that Kafka would be proud of. The VA is rotten from the top down and should be replaced with a system that actually cares for vets. Northport is the worst. Nobody cares about your immediate needs, and once you factor in the wait cycles for any kind of healthcare, it becomes obvious that the system was designed this way. Anyone else sick of the cycle of wait a month, go to appointment, get referral, wait a month. See referral. Oops, go somewhere else. Wait a month for that appointment. Repeat ad nauseum.

When it comes to mental health Northport VA is top-notch they save my life in 2020. Anything having to do with medical care they are terrible the doctors are quacks they’re constantly calling in sick and canceling your appointments. I haven’t been able to see my primary care doctor in two years she’s canceled on me so many times I lost count . They are just plain lazy.

Iam 88 yrs. when can I get the vaccine
Can I get a vaccine at Northport VA Medical Center?
I heard you can go to City MD as well
The answers posted here are from guides who do not have the authority to answer this question. Call 631.261.4400. Ask for Volunteer Services.
I researched C.A.S.A.T. The program is recommended by a judge at sentencing, generally speaking. Call the VA operator @631.261.4400 and ask to speak with a social worker. You will be informed that there must be an intake. Recommendation: If you are local, go there. Use the house phone at Building 200 located at the help desk to your left entering the main entrance. Volunteers will let you use the phone there or direct you to a second phone for privacy at the end of the lobby, through the double doors. I hope this helps you.
You need to contact your Primary Care Physician and/or a Social Worker by phone. This is Sunday. Go to an emergency room at any nearby hospital if this is serious. Congestive Heart Disease (CHD) IS NOT Congestive Heart Failure (CHF). The latter is a critically urgent matter and the former is not. Google Guides should NOT (had better NOT) be giving medical advice about such a serious matter. >>>>>>>>>>>>>Call 631.261.4400 and ask for help from the operator or ask to be connected to Central Intake. NOW! Eight hours ago you posted. I hope to God you already took appropriate action. Sunday, April 28, 2019. 7:29pm, time of this post, final entry. You were asking such advice from people you don't even know. They could have the IQ of a paper clip.
You go in building 200 straight past Starbucks coffee area through the two doors in front of you to eligibility section. You can't miss the area
Can I get the third vaccine at the Northport va medical center
Yes it only Veterans unless it life or death problem
Absolutely, We have a walk-in clinic from 830-2 pm daily. No appointments needed
I believe they're only doing it for veterans. I think they said only veterans and those getting treatment at Northport. I'm getting my second shot that day also.
Go to BLDG 5, you'll see several vehicles, pull over and park. You should be able to go inside and get the vaccine. It's been running that way for a few weeks now....
Register at Northport va building #200
Call Northport VA Medical Center
I recommend contacting your social worker to see whether you are in one of the priority groups.
If you're a United States Veteran, all you should have to do is call them and set up an appointment.
Call 631-261-4400, dial "0" and ask for the emergency room.
The first two answers are inadequate. You need a consult with your primary care physician at the VA, just like going to any clinic. What I don't know is if your need is urgent or it can wait until Monday. If it is urgent, such as you can't cope or are contemplating suicide, go to the VA Emergency Room and you will be seen and referred to the help you need. I know veterans who have been in program in Building 63 and the second floor of 64. You may be able to be housed there for detox. I may be totally wrong about that, but you will be seen and provided the information. 631.261.4400 is the VA Operator. You can call now. I am a Navy Submarine Veteran and care. Get the help you need NOW.
Most offices and clinics open at 9am. Building 9 is administrative yet may be "open" for janitorial cleaning. So, your question is unclear as it is worded. Are you referring to the structure or the availability of personnel? If you have business there, contact that office via the operator @ 631.261.4400 for more information.
Contact your Primary Care physician to ask that personal question. The other answers here are incorrect. Do you think they actually called the ER for the correct information? No, they did not. Biopsies generally are not an Emergency procedure. The procedure is generally outpatient in nature. We do not know if it is a brain biopsy you need, for example. That is a serious procedure. Further, we have no business answering medical questions on Google.
You van also apply on line then go into Bldg 200 get your picture taken
Not sure, but call the main number dial 0 for the operator and ask for D.A.V. They will know.
M-F 9am to 2pm
Call the VAMC and ask to speak to a social worker. He or she will direct you regarding bike donations.
It was originally built in 1921 as a mental institution. It was transferred to the VA in the 1979s and was majorly renovated in the 1990s when they built the pavilion building.
James Fleischman oversees the program as the point of contact for veterans. Ormond stays behind the scenes and has minimal contact with those in the program. I have seen him in the hall a couple times going to lunch; he is usually at his desk working. If you are in that part of the facility stop by and knock on his open door. You may call the main line at 631. 261.4400, dial 0 to get the operator, then call his extension.
Contact the medical records department. They will tell your doctor what to do or you can bring the records yourself.
I think you have to go to Medical Records or Release of Information. I would start at Release of Information in Bldg. 200 on the 1st floor.
Its about 23 miles from the VA to Robert Moses state park on the south shore. That would be the closest ocean beach from the VA.
Yes
use google maps will get to the front door bldg 200
Yes
YES we have a dental staff, you need to make an appointment.
Just go to the front desk of building 200 or go to the ER they can tell you what to do next try to go as early as you can parking is really impossible there get there about 7 a.m. go to building 200 go to the front desk tell them you want to know about a flu shot there take care of everything
If I'm not mistaken, I believe You can visit anytime in ICU !!!
