My name is Tyrone Davis. I was s resident here back in 2016. Their staff was just wonderful. The place is top-notch!! It doesn't even look like a shelter. Very clean. The best shelter in Newark and "probably" within Essex County itself!!!! The lady who runs this shelter ["The Owner"] goes by the name of Ms. J, who should've been widely recognized by Newark's City Hall and the Mayor for a wonderful job well done. This lady has done wonders for that shelter. She and her staff ["both past and present"] are "very" professional, respectable, and definitely caring!!!! I hope Newark's mayor reads this message. He needs to put Ms. J on his Cabinet, putting her in charge of curbing our homeless problem. I guarantee you that she'd get the job done by "seriously" helping the precious homeless folks put there on the streets. I wish that there was a "Ms. J " spirit within "EVERY" owner that owns shelters in Newark!!!!!! God bless that lady!!!!!

So far just arrived here yesterday due to something that had occurred with my temporary loss of debit card funds, a lady working here says she has more power than any other staff and told me to move from one side to the other because a letter from my Dr. to rest needed to be redone three times.. no regard for how I feel physically or medically....Hear this place makes a positive difference aside from this happening the rest of the place seems great, have yet to meet Ms. Jay...trying to hang in...can and will edit/change this review as hopefully the situation changes for the better....π

The people who run the place are trying to help the people there find a place of there own.
