Was victim of an illegal eviction under CCNS and QCLP. An Exec from CCNS named Marty Sussman called me and was trying to convince me to go to the psych ward instead of going to housing court after I served them the court papers. I won in court. Since that day all they did was to try and set me up, they eventually did 5 months later. I didn't even bother after that. The shelter was better. There's no point to being in transitional housing if your prohibited to work full time to move out. CCNS/QCLP is a trap house. More rules than parole, extortion, racketeering, bad housing, bad agencies, bad staff. My favorite line from Roxanne Welch from QCLP. "I'm not going to jail". I wonder why she keeps saying it.

Depending on your situation, they may be able to assist with portions of. Paying your security deposit. However, as far as identifying appropriate and affordable housing they may be able to give referrals. Maybe your best bet is to contact your local section 8 office explain to them what your situation is. They will stop payment to landlord until they rectify the repair issues. Then go to public assistance for a one shot deal to help with the security deposit for new apt. However, you may have to pay that money back. If so they will set up a payment plan. You may also have better luck using a realty service. They will have a better handle on apts. They dont get paid unless you accept the apt and section 8 authirizes payment.
No but they do work with several agencies that may be able to help you.
