No one wants to be in the hospital for any reason…but when life happens, Lenox Hill is the place to be. I was treated with kindness, professionalism, and utmost care throughout my entire stay. I am so grateful. Thank you.

Really wanted to give this place 5 stars based on the personnel I was lucky enough to be treated by, but the admission process was a bit of a s**t show and totally random. The security guard could not be any less friendly, and made me feel like I was going into a VIP after-hours club instead of an ER - even asking me what I was doin g there and then giving me 15 pages of paperwork to fill out even though they were all the same pages. The person I was sitting next to had been there for almost 3 hours, and said only a few people's names had been called into triage, so she had no idea what was going on. Much to my surprise, they called me in ahead of most of the people who were waiting, even though I was not in an emergency situation. I was lucky enough to be treated by both a beautiful and knowledgeable RN named Tenzing - who definitely asked all the right question to prep for the doctor and do my bloodwork. But then , I had to wait about 2.5 hours for the doctor to actually see me and the ER room was not particularly busy. However, I am happy to say that Maureen is probably the most pleasant and best ER doctor I have come across in my many years of going to ER's - she ordered all of the tests that should have been ordered, took as much time as I needed to fully explain everything to me (that could account for the 2.5 hour wait) and even though all of my lab work came back negative (hence - my issue wasnt solved) she gave me tons of follow-up and treatment suggestions, far more than one would expect from a generalized ER doctor. In fact, besides deducting a star for the check-in and overall wait time, my only other complaint is that I cant get Maureen as my primary doctor, The good news is that she might be available to those reading this, and while I certainly hope you never have to visit the ER, Tenzing and Maureen made my trip across town worth it (I live a few blocks from Mt Sinai, and would definitely travel back here again, should I ever need an ER

Had a wonderful experience here at Lenox Hill. Each member of the staff, from the front desk to the nurses to the PA, were respectful, knowledgeable, and helpful. Definitely returning here!
