I wish I could give this hospital less than one star. This place horrible. They will try to bully you into terminating life support for your family member. If it was not for the strength of my sisters my mother would be dead. She is still alive because we fought back. There are some good staff and it seems they don’t even want to be there. The rest of the staff are ghetto and will tempt you into catching a case because they are disrespectful.

Worst hospital ever, they will let you suffer, no matter what department. I was in the pediatric emergency for my chronic asthmatic son, & all the doctors do is sit around and be on their phones and check on you when they feel like it. My sons oxygen was 88 and he needed oxygen, they put the mask on and never turned on the machine and I waited 10/15min to see if someone would come and turn and on until I couldn’t wait anymore and got a nurse and the nurse didn’t even know how to turn on the oxygen so apparently I had to teach a nurse how to do his job. This hospital should’ve been closed down.

Is this what our employment wages and tax dollars deserve notice I can’t photograph the 4 hour wait time , nor the unprofessional behavior of the staff behind the desk , they continued to erupt in outbursts of laughter at patient complaints I could not believe my eyes , a mad man stormed the emergency room and through the security guarded door into the er TWICE Repeatedly stating he was returning to kill everyone , he did this for a hour before I even saw law enforcement arrive. This facility is deplorable , unprofessional staff and lack of empathy for the general public never again , I prefer to board nyc mass transit to a far off manhattan hospital I order to receive car this has been the worst hospital experience of my life , long wait times are expected in the inner city but the conditions post pandemic are negligent and discriminatory, simply unacceptable , this can’t be the standard of care in brooklyn New York .

This comment has nothing to do with a question. This is more like a complaint. Try the office of director and tell them your situation.
You are correct Baby OGtoSpiritual Ascension and Jose R Lopez about don't judge a person until you walk in their shoes but if you are trained to do your job with common curticy and treat patient that is going through pain in any situation and throught out the whole ER staff and only 2 is nice and caring that's a problem to me and others that goes there to get treated and be disrespected by staff. You are trained to keep your personal life aside from your work place and your anger or who ever a staff has problems with should not affect the next patient or patients. It's that simple because everyone is different but we all required respect to all period with humility and a smile.
They saved my life when I had a heart attack.
How about, what's your question?
FYI, Snapper is the name of a building. To get there, go to the main entrance of the medical center
So did I said they would call me back and no one did
General visiting hours are 11AM - 8PM. We permit 2 visitors per patient aged 14 and older. For the Mother/Baby Unit, parents/spouses and partners are able to visit 10AM - 10PM and siblings aged 2 and over are free to visit 4:30 - 5:30 PM. Adult Psychiatry's visiting hours are 1:30 - 3PM and 7 - 8PM. Child Psychiatry's visiting hours are Monday - Friday 5:30 - 7:30 PM and Saturday & Sunday 1 - 3PM and 5:30 - 7:30 PM.
Ok, but what's your question. This is just a comment.
Understandable. I agree we shouldn't have to have a long wait period for medical attention
I don't believe so. You can check online for locations near you that you can apply at. Just Google it, nearest Medicaid location.
Try the mayor's office or try calling 311 for information on what you can do next.
@jose and you can just not answer. This literally is Google. They are asking Google for an answer. Maybe they are having trouble finding the answer on the website. Maybe they don't understand the internet well. You don't have to be rude about it. The point of answering questions is to help these people...not be condescending.
Yes
If you have a history there
Pediatric floor.
It would be but just overwhelmed the emergency room is way too crowded people have long wait I can't even get a bed at tough sometime you can spend a day or more just laying in the emergency room
Not at this time
I'm not sure about that I had a complete natural birth
Hello. My apologies for the delay in responding. The lab starts seing patients at 8AM.
Thank you for your question. Yes, sharp containers are accepted in our Emergency Department. You can bring the container as long as it is in heavy plastic with a top on it to our ER any time of day.
Thank you for your question. No, I'm afraid our Mother/Baby Unit does not validate parking for delivering mothers.
Hello, unfortunately HIPAA prohibits us from discussing patient information in this medium. If you believe your friend is in this hospital please contact a family member for information. My apologies that we could not be of further assistance.
Our apologies for the inconvenience. Are you trying to call the main number for the hospital or a specific department?
Hello, thank you for your question. No, the unit does not have patient phones. However, there are patients with cellphones.
Our Medical Records Department is open Monday - Friday, 10AM - 3PM to request records.
Call the main hospital line for that information. Each department may have a different fax number.
Hello, I'm sorry you're in so much pain. You do not need to go to the ER during normal business hours for your tooth ache. Our Dental clinic is open Monday - Friday, 9AM to 3PM and able to see you as a walk-in in an emergency. It is better to come earlier in the day in the event that a procedure needs to be done. The Clinic is located at 1 Brookdale Plaza, Room 124 Station E. Thank you.
Hello, a child must be 2 years of age to visit their sibling in the room. Children over 2 years old are allowed to visit between 4:30 and 5:30 PM
The closest buses to Brookdale hospital are the B15 bus to Church Avenue and New Lots Avenue, the B35 bus to Brookdale Hospital and the B8 to Brookdale Hospital. The B60 bus stops on Rockaway Avenue between Linden Blvd and Hegeman Ave. From that stop you can access the hospital by walking 6 blocks West down Hegeman Ave. I hope this information helps.
No parking lot. Free parking on the streets but parking is difficult to find. Last is, neighborhood not too safe.
You can Google their help desk phone number and they can transfer your call to the records department.
Sorry but they not doing nothing for me I'm just setting like if I'm not in a emergency room
You can call the information desk and they'll let you know if there is one.
Ok, what's your question? What your making is a statement from your point of view and this is for asking a question. If you want to make a statement, then write a review. I'm sure you know what that is.
I'm not sure but you can still try. Plus walk in are always welcomed in the ER just in case. Just be ready for a longer wait time.
That's what I like to know. We just need to give the attitude right back and tell them c u outside. This place needs to close down and fix up. They need better staff who really cares
Contact medical record department, call main hospital number and ask operagor to transfer you to medical records.
