Our son suffered a knee injury at a football game. When we realized it was not getting better, and after consulting with the teams athletic trainer, my wife took him to the OADC walk in center in Kingston on a Tuesday. The PA, Patricia Little, was fantastic. She took great care of him during the x-ray, and scheduled an MRI for us. The MRI technician was also great- very friendly, and helpful, telling us how to get a copy of the results and a disk with the MRI imaging, because we weren't sure if we would be continuing treatment at OADC. At the same time she was telling us we wouldn't know how to read the results unless a Dr. was present. However, we couldn't see a Dr. there for over a week, which is probably understandable for a busy practice, so we definitely wanted the results. When I went in the following Friday they could only provide a printout of the results (clearly stating that it was an ACL tear- no Dr. needed for that) and not a disk of the MRI imaging. One receptionist asked the other if she ordered the disk to be copied and she said, "Yes". Apparently, the disk would now be ready on Monday. I took the day off the following Monday to research Orthopedic Surgeons specializing in knee surgeries, and to see if there were any cancelations at OADC to see if we could get in sooner. We still had not ruled out using a surgeon from OADC. I called OADC around 8 am, and it rang and rang, ultimately going to their emergency line when they don't pick up the phone. This individual took my info and message, said she would pass it along, and they would call back. I waited until 1 pm with no response, so I decided to drive in to the Kingston office. The disk was still not ready (and apparently they couldn't find an open appt), so my mind was made up that we would definitely not continue with OADC. I had called Albany Bone and Joint twice prior to going into Kingston, and spoke to a person who could help me each time. The same can't be said for OADC. Their Dr.'s may be great, but you may never know until the front of the house is cleaned up.

New shoulder blade to wrist pain. I was given X-rays? Barely examined after waiting hours. Got told not to lift anything heavy. I can’t sleep I’m in so much pain. Pleaded for a muscle relaxer and was given an additional prescription as well then told to go to physical therapy?! Did the X-rays even get reviewed? No incident of trauma, tried to explain my job influencing my pain. Nerve pain or sprain seems logical. Emergency One and Kingston Er tried to treat me as If I had a heart attack. I need help but find none. Just want my $.

Post shoulder replacement I badly broke humerus and prosthetics. I called and was told to come in and was immediately x rayed and diagnosed with serious fracture with chips. .Dr Maurer scheduled early (7:30) appointment and was genuinely concerned. He outlined all the potential Issues and outcomes. Surgery was scheduled ASAP.. A week later I dislocated it and was immediately sent to Kingston Hosp DrMaurer’s assistant Rob Rogan was successful in a reset. I was certainly given priority and careful attention. They all ,nurses, PAs and Doctors had my complete confidence

Went as a walk in after a slip and fall I was seen by the most condescending nurse practioner Patricia Little. She was insistent that I pick one part of my body to treat. I said that my entire leg, foot hamstring all were in excruciating pain. It was a horrifying to not have comprehensive compassionate care. She should not be in the health care industry. They should call her Patricia Belittle.
