I went with someone and waited in the car while they visted someone. I went to the community room( very nice!) Then I went to the office. No one was there but I picked up an application, and plan on filling it out pronto! Along with OTHER affordable housing for an artist and filmmaker ECT ( widow, ) going to get my car today, then WANT TO do my film ECT. And I've been getting yelled at and pushed around so I REALLY WANT TO GO! BUT A NICE PLACE FOR MY VINTAGE furniture and house warming party! My BIRTHDAYS coming up too along with ST PATRICK'S DAY. WILL. TALK TO YOU LATER

I am writing this review for the entire family of my deceased mother in law. My mother lived there for roughly 6-8 years and thoroughly enjoyed her time there. She got along with most of the residents and enjoyed their time together. Although she was very concerned with the maintenance man that lived on the property (she told us she didn’t like to tell him if something was broken (her kitchen drawer, & a screen in the window) because every time he came over she said he wouldn’t leave until she tipped him... Here is why I am giving them one star... my mother Suzanne fatum passed away 4/4/2019 at her residence. Myself, her son and her daughter were with her during her passing. Let me state that if you knows her you knew she had extreme OCD about cleanliness and punctuality. Meaning her apartment contained very little, she hired a cleaning lady weekly and she paid her rent ahead of time always... the family cleaned out her belongings and her apartment was completely empty and SPOTLESS by 4/16. When we left we had a cleaning woman come in and vacuumed, cleaned under the fridge, mopped , did the bathrooms and make sure there was nothing that sue would have been upset about. The apartment was move in ready, did not even need paint! I alerted Birches at chambers after the cleaning lady said she was done and the first receptionist told me she would have the one in charge of the retirement part call me back. Although I do not remember her name, she called me at work the next day. She had expressed her distraught over loosing Sue as she said she knew her well, she even cried on the phone. I advised her the apartment was done and she asked how we’d like to receive her security deposit. I advised her that my husband is the executor and gave her our address ( she advised us she had him on their papers as “next of kin anyway) I also told her that if she didn’t feel comfortable she could mail the check to Sues lawyer and gave the name and contact information. She said that wasn’t necessary and that we would get a check after the manager woman did a walk through. I gave her my husbands number Incase anything else was needed and we hung up with the impression it would be about 2 weeks till we got her security. About one week later a different woman, who was rather rude called my husband during work hours and asked him to come down to do the walk through at that moment. We had just gotten back to work after taking a lot of time off and both could not leave immediately for her sudden walk through... my husband advised her he couldn’t leave during business hours but wanted to schedule it for the following Saturday... now here we are.... almost 3 Months have passed since she’s passing and zero contact from anyone on the property.. the lawyer handling her estate has been notified. I have like clockwork called twice a week to the date and they send me to an answering service. Every time I leave a detailed message about not receiving the security back and no one has bothered to call. This is horrible business practice, Sues lawyer has been advised & they are taking appropriate action. Please beware. This company preys on the elderly, do not plan on getting anything back if you leave.
