Hi my name is Tanysha Newman and I would like to file a formal complaint against Hertz and I picked up my car from the Poughkeepsie location in New York. I received the rental around 4:30 PM by 9 PM the Tesla model three has malfunction and we cannot enter the car and the key would not allow access. The car is charged on 80% as of right now today on August 19 4 PM the car is still sitting in my parking lot. No one offered me a new car Any type of compensation for me being inconvenienced. I have two kids and we had a plan a trip to go away this weekend so now we can’t do that and I have lost my deposit. Please give me a call so we can try to rectify this situation because I am at wits end. My card was fully charged $1029.00 with a$209 security hold. I called the local branch numerous times as well as the executive care department. The local brands do not want to automatically give me a refund talking about they had to speak to their general manager which was in a meeting and I will receive a call back within four hours. No one ever called me I called them back to speak to the manager in charge which her name is April who claims that she has initiated the chargeback. Still again no one try to rectify the situation to bring me a new car or at least keep me as a customer. I have never in the 46 years of my life have experienced such poor distasteful customer service from Hertz. I’ve have rented from Hertz before when my car was in an accident and back then everything was fine this is beyond disgusting. My children are extremely upset and disappointed that we cannot go to American dream. *** NOT ONCE DID THEY EVEN ME A REPLACEMENT OR SUGGEST ONE***

If I could give negative stars I would. Edward McKenna, the “branch manager” is extremely unprofessional. I would never recommend utilizing hertz locations specifically the Poughkeepsie & Newburgh if he is the manager you are to be dealing with. Best of luck to anyone who does.
