Bob was there to show us around and tell us about Maybrooks role in the history of the railroad. For example did you know that Barnum and Bailey's circus train would stop in maybrook to give water to their elephants?🚂🚃🐘🐴🤡🚃 That was just one of the cool facts he had to share with us. There is a donation box located inside. *For now masks are required unless you're vaccinated.

Questions & Answers

Is there a model train layout in the museum? And what is the cost of admission?

No cost to enter but they accept donations. There is a garden elevated train inside but it's focus is the railroad. But no shortage of train pictures.

In 1868, where did a brakeman sit/stand? Between cars? On top of a car? Inside a car? At the engine? Other and where? Same year. How many brakemen on a train? Same year. What was the action taken by a brakeman to apply the brakes?
