Without going into great detail, the NFD and one specific team member, Harrison, are the reason I am alive today. With doors locked, COVID in full swing and no emergency calls going out, I was noticed through a small window. From the very moment I was brought into the station to the moment they handed me off to the Drs. I was shown a love that I've never experienced in this world filled with darkness. I wasn't on fire, but I was saved. I don't know what you or anyone else believes in, but I know I felt God and my late son speaking through them from the second I was brought in. This isn't just a Fire Department, this is a true sanctuary of angels. 🤍

Per Alaska Division of Forestry a grate with no more than 5/8" gaps. More information can be found here https://dnr.alaska.gov/burn/specifications . Burn permits are required from April to September depending on the season.
