Laurel Hill is a fantastic layout that I play about once a week. Friendly staff. Solid practice facility. However, course conditions have deteriorated quite a bit over the last couple of months. Most tee boxes are pretty brutal. Quite a few dead patches or weeds growing in fairways. Collars around the greens need some serious attention. Quite a few bunkers are rock hard. I’ve been told they raised their membership price, so it’s a bit disappointing the conditions aren’t better. Still one of the better public courses in northern Virginia, but I really think the layout is so great that it could be a top 10 course in the state if kept in the right condition.
