Gene Bulmash, the program manager for Inclusionary Zoning is a horrible fit for his position. He does not care about DC residents and takes his precious time approving prospects for the Affordable Dwelling Units. I applied at a property and they were able to approve me within a week. They then sent my application to Gene Bulmash and he was very picky with the information I had provided. I was given a timeframe of 3 weeks when DHCD received my application. It has been over 2 months. My current lease expired and I am now homeless.

Very horrible display of customer service for District Residents, especially DC natives seeking resources for housing. Contacting representatives via email because you can’t seem to reach anyone in office or over the phone has become a chore. You almost feel like you shouldn’t be contacting them either because their response a very much so along the lines of they would rather not be helping you.

I had some major concerns regarding the turnaround time regarding our file with MMP. An email was sent to Ms. Weller at MMP and she addressed my concerns and answered all of my questions. Sometimes the process isn't well known to regular people because we are not necessarily privy to that information. However, Ms. Weller calmed my fears down and let me know they are working hard for everyone. Ms. Weller, I hope this review finds you. I appreciate all the hard work your office is doing not just for me but for all those in Maryland that you serve.

In most cases, a least is for a 12mo period. If you've been on someone else's least for a yr, then you're automatically off at the end of that year. If less than a year, there's not much you can do unless you're ready to do a whole lot of leg work. Make sure, whosever least you're on, that don't renew it, especially with your name on it. You're only committed with YOUR signature and if they do renew their lease, be sure you don't sign off on it. I hope this is helpful to you and best of luck.
IF YOU OWN THE LIST AND TOOK THE TEST THEY HAVE NOW AND CONNED TO MENTAL HEALTH YES IT POSSIBLE

The DC Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) funds the activities of several community-based organizations (CBOs) and grantees, which offer significant training, workshops and one-on-one counseling to current and potential homeowners, tenants and small businesses. This includes for tenants working to exercise their rights under the Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Act (TOPA) which we believe this question is referring to. For a list of CBOs and their contact information, please visit https://dhcd.dc.gov/page/community-based-organization-cbo-training-and-events.
