Such an important piece of US History. One staff member heard my Granddad was a veteran and took the time to thank him for his service in a way I have never heard be matched. It was the only time I've seen my Granddad choked up. This is such a respectful place that honors our veterans and those who sacrificed their lives for freedom.

How do I find out if my grandfather has a gravesite there? He told me when I was younger that he had one, and that was where he was to be buried with full honors as he had 39 years of honorable service.

Arlington has an app you can download on Android or IPhone. You should be able to search the name and see if he is there. The app can be difficult in searching sometimes. If that doesn't work I would try calling Arlington.

My mother’s remains are due to be interred at my father’s gravesite on Nov. 29. Should I be getting some information from Cemetery officials soon regarding the event.
