Dinner was well prepared and our waiter was wonderful. The grounds are beautiful and we'll maintained. It does have a very English Inn feel to it and living up to it's name. As a lover of old homes there is some maintenance and upkeep I would love to have seen but overall the place is clean and in good shape.

5/5 the hospitality 5/5 atmosphere 4/5 food We went here for my brothers graduation this is a nice little place about 20 minutes outside of Lansing. The menu is mostly traditionally English food like beef wellington, Yorkshire pudding. The food was great, but I had to knock a star off the puff pastry on my beef wellington was a little under done the potato's were rustic and delicious and the green beans were perfect. The dining room is nice and cozy. the food was around 50 dollars per entrée and included a walnut salad too. overall great experience.

We reserved a conservatory and it was a great experience. Food was fantastic and service was attentive. There's a lot the English Inn has to offer in respect to fine dining, bed & Breakfast, and event space. As far as expense if I'm being honest, as a local; I'd rather go to Bowdies Chophouse.

I regret not taking pictures. This almost 5 (should be 3) star establishment is way over priced. The bed sheets were dirty - it was blood, rust, or food - when we entered, the girl was pretty quick to replace but not change them. There is no phone in the room. The TV functions, but it's bad picture. It's an old TV. We made a dinner reservation for 6. The waitress was nice, but that's it. Me and my husband went the entire meal without refills - we asked several times to more than one person, I had one diet coke and he had two teas. I'm not sure who we were sitting next to, but from the very very loud conversation it (I couldn't hear my husband or myself) sounded like the man at the table worked there. The food was okay. I got the duck and he got the fillet. We should have saved our money and time, we should have just went to Texas Roadhouse. Half the price and just as good. Breakfast was not great either. ^ I'm behind disappointed, I'm angry. For $400, we should have at the very least got a clean room and good food. We got a $200 experience for $400. Note: We went here on our wedding day, 5 years ago. The food was great, the staff was great, but we didn't have a room. I don't know if it's because something has changed over the years or that I've had the chance to experience a $350 food bill that was worth it. I don't know how to stress this enough. Save your money.
