Get up close to a real Saturn V, the rocket that took man to the moon, nothing but seeing it in person can convey the scale and complexity of this extraordinary feat of engineering. You will watch a launch from the control room, learn about every stage of the Saturn V rocket as you see it with your own eyes, see a real mission used command module, space suits worn on the moon and even touch a piece of the moon with your own hands. This is an incredible experience and something everyone must do.

Impressive to see and superbly executed. The dimensions of the rocket are particularly impressive.

They usually open the security lines in plenty of time. But to be safe, call the center or download the app.
The first stage was an engineering test article that was test fired but never intended for flight. The second and third stages were intended for a later Apollo mission which never happened. The lunar module on display was the last H model intended to fly on Apollo 15, but it stayed on the ground after the final Apollo missions were cancelled and Apollo 15 became the first J mission. Under the front of the Saturn V is CSM-119, an unflown command and service module that would have been used with the SA-209 Saturn I rocket (on display in the rocket garden) had Skylab needed a rescue mission. Apollo 14's flown command module is also on display at the exit to the lunar theater off to the side.
The tickets you get for the Kennedy Space Centre get you into the Apollo Saturn V Centre at no extra cost well worth a visit excellent place
