I will not visit this place anymore. The behaviour of the cook/person bringing food from kitchen was Very rude. We, total 4 people went to Persis for dinner. We had one guest from Texas, also. We ordered four different menus, only the butter chicken was okay.Other 3 persons did not like dosa, mutton curry, and another mutton menu. I told clearly during order I do not want any coriander in my dish-mutton curry. But then, they came with corriander in the dish. It was clear misunderstanding from their side, they thought I told curry leaves!! When I told about corriander, they were frustrated and faced look angry. They went back and come back after sometime with the dish, without corriander. But the behaviour the cook(looked like,he brought the food also) showed was too rude. He put the bowl from high height in the table, tried to show his anger in that way!! All of us were so surprised, and decided will not come ever! Besides, the dish,he brought later, was not cooked well.He tried to rush, as it was their closing time, and did not cook the food properly. It was mistake of your people, who did not understand, what I said! Mistake can be always there,I understand. But why rude behavior?? We are not eating for free!! 3 of the menu was bad out of 4. We were ashamed in front of our guest.

They are close to me in OFallon and I am so glad I've found them. I've only had the butter chicken and authentic Indian chicken curry medium and hot and they have all been amazing!

Pre-COVID Persis was easily the best Indian restaurant in the Lansing area. I've been to them all. My family went to the buffet at least twice a month sometimes twice a week. Great food, great service, excellent selection. The food is still very good. I've read some bad reviews about the food, I think they went through a period last year where they had a different chef that wasn't very good who has since been replaced. I was there the other day and had the butter chicken and Apollo fish and both were excellent. The service though wasn't great. There's usually one guy taking care of the entire restaurant. He's friendly and polite, but it's just too much for one person when it gets even a little busy. I've got my fingers crossed that they'll bring the buffet back and hire some more staff. Persis is still our go to Indian restaurant, but it's just not the same.

Hands down the best local Indian food. We go here almost once a week, it is my favorite! Even my kids beg for it. Our go-to dishes are butter chicken (pictured on left) and chicken tikka masala (pictured on right) with garlic naan bread. We have relatives from out of town who demand we order from here whenever they visit. You will not regret trying it.
