More pictures of the animals should be posted. Statistically pets with more pics get adopted faster.
Amber Shiver
I didn't go see the animals they have for adoption but I sadly had to drop one off. The lady at the dest was very helpful and nice. The girl that came and got the dog from me was a little rude.
Juanita J
I called them to come out to get a pitbull that was loose trying to bite people. They never came.

yes. what kind. i might want it. do you have it's home too?
Hi Joy it's usually the first Tuesday of the month. Here is the link to answer all your questions and I suggest going much earlier than the posted time the lines are long and if you have disabilities you can call ahead to make arrangements. https://www.talgov.com/animals/asc-id.aspx
Hey Amel! Please give us a call during normal business hours (10am-6pm daily) to discuss the situation as we schedule all incoming animals by appointment & can answer any other questions you may have too!
I really hope so for you. But yet not sure.
Hello is the dog still available ?
Yes
They update their pictures every hour. Keep checking and I hope you find your perfect pup!
I was there today. I don't recall about the rag doll cats but they have a bunch of adorable kittens and they all use the litter box. Look at their website because they should show up there.
Yep
You are correct. Normally the first Tuesday of each month.
1st Tuesday of every month from 3pm-5pm. Get there early to register. The line is usually long. I will say, that once they start at 3 it moves fast.
Oh how sad 😢I wish I could take Kitty. You can take her there, but I pray that she is sent to one of this city's two cat cafes. Sometimes it's more difficult to find a forever home for black pets. She does have her youth going for her. I pray the best for you both but let this be a cautionary tale for you and everyone looking for a pet. Understand the great commitment getting a fur baby is. It's not like getting a baseball glove or a bike. They're living beings who deserve a lifetime of love just like humans.
Yes $20 cats and $30 dogs with approved application. Can get pre approved, and then go in and find the animal you want. Less stress with pre approval. And they keep it on file for 30 days. I just adopted today 3/24/2018.
Sorry Guy! Our phone messaging system had a glitch earlier due to the recent storm & it was corrected!
Hey Camille! Thanks for your interest in adopting! We don't have any female piggies right now but you are certainly welcome to watch our website as it is updated hourly with our stray and adoptable pets!
Yes, just call for appointment and they will have the dog ready to bring out to a play room where you can play with the pup.
Hey Sheryl! Thanks for reaching out! We are not sure what situation you are referencing, which dog handler or which Mastiff you are referring to (we currently don't have any Mastiffs for adoption)! If you could please reach out to us at 850-891-2950 (10am-6pm daily) we would be happy to answer any questions you have!
Please contact the Tallahassee Animal Service Center or the Leon County Humane Society
No hasnt been in years due to misuse
Not that I know of
No just cats and dogs
No, they are a vet only. We got our last two dogs from the Tallahassee Animal Shelter. I don't know if they are no kill, but they have a great facility and really care about the animals!
I would check out their website or give them a call.
Yes
Yes.
I just got a Voucher for my male cat 1month ago. It was free along with the 3 pain pills & a rabies shot too. Keep trying. There hours are on Google.
No I dont?
Most likely because it's a slower day for them and doesn't make sense to be open. They're always very busy on the weekends. Most animal shelters I've went to are closed on Mondays.
You can call them or visit them, they may have the pet there.
Yes you can surrender her and the will evaluate her to see if she healthy. If she is they will put her in the adoption program. They are very good here and will do everything they can to get her a family.
It's best to look on the site (http://www.talgov.com/animals/animalservices.aspx) to check their current availability of pets in need of homes. You can always also stop in at 1125 Easterwood Dr, Tallahassee, FL 32311 as well.
They microchip all pets prior to adoption.
Do you have a very small dog that does not shed and is house trained?
Wot m8
I'm not sure if they are. Best thing to do would be to contact them directly. Staff is very friendly and if you are looking for employment and love animals, could be a great fit for you. Best of luck.
I don't really know the answer to the age of volunteers but the people I've seen appear to be young. Around high school or college age. I've seen them hello with walking dogs & playing with cats. I don't know if they're volunteers or paid part-time. My experience is that it's a good place. If i wanted another animal, that would be my first stop. Right now, i just donate food...
They take all animals that you surrender. However, you should call to see if they are at capacity before going.
1st Tuesday of every month 3-5, microchipping is offered as well for 10 dollars.
Dogs are $ 35 Cats are $ 25, I think.
They make nail covers for cats nails now. So you don't have to mutilate them anymore.
Call the Shelter
Always! Check the website or go visit to see if there's one you like.
Call them. I have no idea; i just adopted from there.
Call the Shelter to ask. I don't think they take med donations at all.
Just go talk to them... They may have to do the "system" process and pay the adoption fee
No, i am pretty sure it is 16 and up.
They always are looking for help.
No idea. I am not an employee
Yay I was super worried that he wouldn't get adopted!😁
they are open tomorrow but not on Mondays so I would head over there when they open tomorrow to let them know. also post all over FB lost and found pages and Nextdoor (if you have that) in order to spread word to more people about her. Good luck! *not an employee
They try not to. I volunteered there. They do their best to get an animal healthy for adoption.
U would haft to go in and look there that or check out the web page. Cause if I'm right they do have a website that people can look at.
I'm not the Animal Shelter, juat have adopted from them. Call them. Thay also have a website listing available dogs and cats. Do a Google search.
As a volunteer, I think I saw Usher there on Thursday. If no longer online now then adopted.
Shelter opens today Sunday at 1 PM. Closed on Monday. Reopen Tuesday at 10:30. Please look for your lost dogs there.
Come by today between 1 and 4 to fill out a missing report and see the Center has info on your puppy. Center close tomorrow.
Theoretically it could happen. But theyd have to lie.
