Just like an annual physical, you should get regular hearing tests every 1 to 3 years. If you are exposed to loud noise frequently or work in a field where noise is common, you should err on the side of getting tested more frequently. If you notice any hearing loss, schedule a test immediately. Untreated hearing loss can lead to other health problems.
Good morning Sylvia, The short answer to both of your questions is yes. Rechargeable hearing aids have come a very long way and now there are several great options we can show and talk to you about. Hearing aids that do not wrap around the ear are also available. Of course a persons hearing dictates which type of hearing aid is best. We would be happy to talk to you about all the options. Dear Barbara, It is possible that we can take of it in house. Is the hinge pin still in it? What style of hearing aid is it? We won't really know until we can see it.
