Staff seems overworked and undervalued. This is evident in how they treat patients. They have no empathy. They treat patients like it is a problem that they are at the hospital in the first place. They express annoyance when patients arrive. They all just count down until they get off. It seems like an awful place to work. It was an awful place to be a patient in need of medical care. The patients and hospital staff suffer when leadership doesn’t value their employees. I certainly suffered. I am afraid to have another emergency in Columbia County because it is the ONLY hospital in the county. This is America and it’s ”great” privatized healthcare system. After HCA’s history with Medicaid fraud, you would think they would do ANYTHING to please the patients. Obviously, no amount of money or legal reprimand has convinced HCA to treat its staff and patients properly. It’s disgusting.
