I brought in 4 old car batteries to recycle, because I saw they gave store gift cards. They could only give me money for 3, so I saved the last battery for another time. I got much needed wiper blades, and they installed them. It was an awesome trade off & I got my son some cheeseburgers with the change.

Pick any brand that you like. Batteries are produced to meet regional needs so all you can buy no matter where you go, is going to be a warm weather battery. If you head back north, pick up a battery there, they are formulated to withstand cold better. That said, money no object, the toughest battery you can buy that is resistant to drying out in the heat will incorporate "AGM" Technology inside. They do with ID and deposit. They will not let a scan tool out of sight, but specialty tools from pickle forks to oxygen sensor wrenches can be rented with deposit and taken off site.
