The Gym is great and the staff is friendly. Two points that suck: they don't like shoeless workouts despite it being best form and the proper way to lift. And two you gotta watch out for the occasional nosey woke women who think its their job to police everyone and try to tell people what to do. Ugh.

Friendly workers. Small, but a good variety of equipment. No shower facilities available. Can't wait to see the new facility being built that will I'm sure will bump this up to a 5.

Great place with great staff. Small but somewhere you can be comfortable and not intimidated even if you are just starting. Every one is always ready to help. I will definitely miss this place when they move to the new place.
I’m over it Already
I had joined before the quarantine.. but had issues with my acct. I went in and the staff really helped out. The system had changed over, so if your account was inactive, it did not bring forward any information. The staff brought my account up to speed. They were friendly, professional and bet informative. The Y is perfect. Although people say it’s small, it’s temporary. The gym is clean and neat. A very nice atmosphere.

Hello Susan, Thank you for your interest in the Middletown YMCA! Our Middletown YMCA opened on January 1st of 2017 and is operating at a smaller scale while we discover how we will best be able to serve our community. Within the next 2 to 5 years, we will expand to a larger facility with pools and additional programs. Currently we have a beautiful studio where we hold a variety of group exercise classes and a fitness center showcasing all new fitness equipment. We have several options for membership depending on your needs. Because Middletown is a smaller scale YMCA we have the ability to offer reduced rate memberships to members interested in joining just for the Middletown Facility, but we also offer statewide month to month memberships that would provide you access to all of the YMCA’s of Delaware and their pools/programs. Please feel free to stop by and we will be happy to discuss the various options with you to help you find the right fit for you and/or your family.
Where in Middletown can I go and shower? I'm from out of town and I have to wash my self
No. It is a temporary location that became semi permanent due to COVID-19. They are supposedly building a new one in Spring 2022 with real amenities, but until then, it's a small gym with 4 standalone bathrooms. No locker room. No showers. No sauna. I recommend the Dover Y for amenities like this for now.

Yes Anita, we hold classes in the gym, Zumba..Bodypump..Yoga and etc. Stop by for tour and free class pass.
