My child is currently learning to swim at the YMCA. The weekday class was conducted with 3 instructors and 10 to 12 children, but when we move to Sunday time this time, 2 instructors control more children. There are not enough instructors for the number of children. The kid also played soccer here this summer and the female instructor was friendly but didn't feel professional. And because of bad weather, soccer class was unilaterally canceled that day. However, the weather that day was cloudy and there was no rain. It was a good day to play soccer. We requested a refund for one class and there was no refund from YMCA.

This location is friendly and welcoming. Any time I visit there are always a selection of no cost options for members to join classes. I have tried cycling, indoor pool water aerobics, Sauna, gym equipment and always feel rejuvenated when I leave. I have been told by members I inspire them and I have shared similar sentiments with other members. It is a family friend, community uplifting YMCA. In addition, there are personal trainers and other programs with related fees to participate. I highly recommend the Western Y.

Very bad experience here. Signed my grandson up for swimming lessons. Was told over the phone a date and time we were supposed to start swimming lessons Gave them my credit card to pay for the lessons We arrived on the date and time we were quoted. Go to front desk, they give us directions to pool classes. We get downstairs at the pool room. (After changing my grandsons clothes into his swimsuit. Get to the door. Everything is locked up. Asked a very informative older Gentlemen who worked there about classes. He informed us they never have swimming lessons on a Saturday!!!! Why doesn't the employee that charged my credit know that??? She had no problem taking my money. But was not aware there were no lessons on a Saturday?? When she was the one who gave me time and date. They did return my money. Grandson extremely disappointed 😞 That to me is heartbreaking 💔. Disappointing a 2 year old. He was so excited to go swimming, then we get there and they tell us they don't have classes. Extremely disappointing and unperfishional!!!

YMCA pools are available to members only, or you need to have a guest pass. As long as you are a member, it is free to use the pool.

I believe it closes at 7:50 every evening. This is the big pool complex. The other outside lap pool is open later except when it is closed for a swim meet.
