Well the parking in the picture is wrong that's the one past joppa off rt 40. My truck was broken into there and one of my metal detectors was stolen as well as some other things . They need cameras there or someone to watch over the area. And for some reason they always have the parking closed in the summer and open in the fall and winter . Most people kyack and fish and swim in the summer so it would be smart to have the parking open in the summer .

it’s a short and easy hike that leads to the old gunpowder river bridge, with its beautiful stone arches. i wish the trail was better laid out. it seemed to be a place for people to go fishing.

Missed the end of the crappie spawn, a few small perch biting, even smaller numbers of large shad.
