The Fairview faces direct ocean front, so really who cares about anything else. But the food was good. Scallops were fresh and prepared well. They wouldn't let us eat on the terrace even though there were four empty tables which were still empty as we were leaving. It was quite noisy in the dining room. I would suggest sound proofing the ceiling.

It wasn't the rooms it was the holiday dinners. NEVER attend any holiday dinners at the Fairview Grill. This past Easter Sunday was HORRIBLE. They actually locked people out for the 2 O'Clock seating for 30 minutes. Elderly people were forced to stay outside in the cold for 30 minutes because the doors were locked. They were locked because the 12 O'clock people were late because they had 3 seatings. One at 10, one at 12 and one at 2:00. It was a total money grab by the restaurant . The 2 O'clock people couldn't eat until 3:40 and the food was HORRIBLE. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Beet salad was great.More than enough for two. Shepard's pie special was very good. Steak tips were a little overdone. This restaurant is a good value. Staff is very friendly.

Wow!! Such a great spot just off the main drag. Went down to meet some family and celebrate our wedding anniversary, started with lunch in the restaurant for 10 people. Great service, great food, not overpriced and I love the atmosphere and music on the deck! Everyone went home happy and full. (Tons of inside seating also) My wife and myself rented a room upstairs to stay the night. Clean, roomy, balcony overlooking the water and well equipped with snacks and necessities. Before going out on for the evening we had a drink and talked with staff at the bar. Such welcoming friendly (not fake) people. Upon our return at the end of the night, the welcomed us to hang out in the bar and have a night cap while they went through the closing routine. Can't say enough good when being there for under 24 hours, you are completely blown away by the hospitality. We can't wait to go back 10 stars!!
