Was wondering if anyone could tell me how this place is, can you go here with having benefits but not cash assistance? Do u get ur own apartment to live in while there or is it shared housing, is there curfew an can u go out during the day? Is it clean an in a decent neighborhood? Close to transportation or they offer transportation? Do they help u get on ur feet an to transition out to an apartment when it's time to go? So if any1 has any helpful info at all about how the place is an runs inform me an let me kno the positives an negatives an why u feel that way please an thank you.

They could accommodate you, however as I stated. You would have to go to emergency services at 18 Rector St to be placed there. You can call them Monday and see the proper steps you would have to take. No one is in the office on weekends
No is a Transitional/Shelter Each family gets there own unit like an apartment with a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and livingroom and it comes with furniture each child would get their own bed and there's also a pull out bed in the livingroom couch in the livingroom room but you would have to go go to welfare 18 Rector Street downtown Newark and Apply for Ga _Cash assistance and Emergency Assistance letting them know you are homeless and have no where to go..either bring proof of an enviction(Court documents) or proof you was burned out from you previous location or either have a letter stating you and your 2 kids have this date to leave with no were to go from either your self or someone you lived with but you gotta show them proof of you being homeless and you have to be receiving there cash before emergency assistance so you would still have to apply for that before the emergency assistance kicks in (melissa awer)
Sunday-Thursday 10pm and Saturday - Friday 12am I happen to work here...lol
I believe so, it's many men that live there, but I'm not 100 percent sure.
You have to get referred here through welfare and only if you have cash assistance I believe. Otherwise you can go to Newark emergency on broad St and have them put you in two different shelters until y'all work it out
No theres no wifi unless you buy you're own
If you're on a welfare case with your daughter and you receive cash, you can get a referral from them
Harmony House provides transitional housing for homeless families (one or two parents with children). The facility also requires a referral from Essex County DEFAB (formerly known as Welfare). Below is the link to DEFAB for your reference. You can also call Harmony House for additional information at 973-623-8555. The office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Here's the link for DEFAB information: https://essexcountynj.org/ceas_directory/division-of-family-assistance-and-benefits-dfab/
So you do pay to live there, it's like a shelter for women, children and families. They don't allow men who aren't married w/ children to live there. You have to go through an application process
I dont know you would have to contact them
Not necessaary
Yes you can, just have to contact them to see if they have an available unit to fit your needs
I am sure you can if you meet the qualifications, just give them a call
Yes just go there and they will let you know what are the requirements
Yes i believe so. Call to confirm to be safe
Yes they do
It's according to the program you are on. Contact your counselor
Probably at their Better Life location ...its on 14th Ave and Bergen St...btwn Camden and Bergen...Harmony House only takes referrals from Welfare
Yes
No...You have to be referred by Welfare Dept of whatever city your in...specifically Nwk welfare offices
You have to go to social services & be referred by them
It depends on which you mean by that.
