My parents purchased home in LRV in 1990 on one of the best lots in entire 350+ home park in quiet area on Gulf side of FL. Home passed to me 2015 & hubs and I enjoy winter months here from Nov to May. There's a nice little library stocked w/current best sellers. Fishing's terrific-especially red fish & snook! Park is maintained very well, pool is clean, there's a putting green, bingo nite, choir, pitch-ins, wood working shop filled w/best equipment we've ever seen, music concerts, tennis, pickleball etc. If you are an active senior you will enjoy LRV .Good medical doctors just up in Sarasota & 2 highly ranked hospitals. Nearby beaches-Boca Grande, Manasota Key & Nokomis Beach-all are very nice.Fishing is terrific.

Amazing welcome throughout the village. Pickleball, tennis, masters tennis, cards, shuffleboard, ping pong, shows, potlucks, formal dinners, new friends, biking, walking, fishing, wood working, stain glass, boating is all available. I didn’t ever want to leave and was encouraged to try it all. I love my community -first year 2019 and can’t wait to go back. 2020 was difficult because of covid, but guidance from director was appropriate and the villagers made amazing efforts to help with those that needed it while practicing social distancing. This village is a small slice of paradise. We are truly blessed with the beauty and friendliness of this place.

If you get on the Laxy River web site there is a link to homes for rent. Some areas in the community are pet free while other's allow pets. It will say in the homes description.

You Need to contact the main office. But that time of year is when the owners stay in their own rentals. The association itself does not have rentals, but some individuals do.
Most people pay cash. Some get a home equity loan on their house elsewhere. These are all double wides it tends to be difficult to get financing.
