Reservations is a complete scam. Impossible to reserve. I’m sure campground is nice.

Locked through before noon. Lackmaster was very friendly. This lock is about a 13 foot drop. Lines were clean and the lockmaster handed them down to us.

A beautiful place to camp. I came here alone for the weekend, wanted to tent and clear my mind. The nature and river is pristine, lots of trees. Very quiet and clean environment overall. And I made a barbeque on the coal grills!

Loved our stay here! It was a small and quiet campground. There’s a beautiful lake and tons of picnic tables and pavilions. Your spot has a really nice covered picnic table, fire place, and concrete slab. There’s no sewer hookup so you have to dump by the office/exit. Everything was very clean and maintained. They had showers/restrooms, nice fishing area, and a safe gated entrance/exit. VERY dog friendly, seemed like everyone had a dog. There are tons of toads hopping around and it’s very buggy at night. It was a good price per night too! It gets booked up fast.

Is open. Government shutdown doesn't affect the Camp function
2 weeks maximum stay. There are some small rv and mobile home parks within a 10 mile radius.
There is a nature trail on the south and northside.

Yes
Yes, you have to bike from the campground through a residential neighborhood, approximately two miles. Then the road that passes under 95 has a shared bike path. That is a designated bike lane right next to the automobile traffic. Very, very busy road. Although there is a marked and designated bike path, if riding close to heavy traffic makes you uncomfortable, you won't like riding there. We actually hauled our bikes on our truck to Jensen Beach Park and road from there. Beautiful ride parallel to the beach. Free parking. You can also park under the causeway bridge, on both sides, for free. We road as far as we could go south and then turned around went back to our truck and had lunch at the park. Under a covered picnic table. They also have very clean bathrooms at Jensen Beach Park. Then we road north. I understand Jaycee park is also a good trailhead, but we did not go there. I'll include some pics.
7a until 4:30pm est, foot traffic only; however, public access sunrise to sunset by small parking lot & playground adjacent to the lock.
30 per night. Not shure about extended stays.
Does anyone have advice on the sites? I have a dog so id like there to be a tree for shade. I have only backed up my 29' 5th wheel a handful of times so i dont want to pull between posts and trees or obstacles that are TOO TIGHT a sqeeze. I like to have a campfire nightly & although i do play music, i am respectful. Still, i dont want 5am risers being bothered. WTH i figured id give this a shot b4 reserving a spot next week. Any particular sites sound good for my 1st visit?
