Very disappointed by this business. I had a bridesmaid dress that needed altering. I really needed a seamstress to make the waist just a bit looser. Before I can even say anything, the owner begins to start pinning the bottom of my dress to hem, not even bothering to ask what I want altered. I still didn’t mind since I needed that done as well. After a while I asked the owner if she can make the waist a bit looser and she immediately says no explaining it away. She seemed anxious to finish and not interested in what I wanted at all. Trusting her answer, I decide to leave the dress. She tells me just to hem the bottom will be $75 and then bumps it to $80 right after.. 😳. It seemed a bit high but me being me, I give her half as security deposit and run to work. The next day I decide to go back and take my dress back as well as the $40 I put down. I knew someone else would be able to make my dress waist a BIT looser for me since it was pretty tight and uncomfortable. I had to go back and forth with the husband for almost 30mins. He gave me my dress back but refused to give me my security deposit ($40) and told me to come back in an hour when his wife/owner comes back. Absolutely not. It wasn’t till I started embarrassing him in front of another customer that happens to go there often. No consideration towards my dress, time, and money. They clearly only care about money but are not even willing to do basic alterations. They overcharge and have no interest in genuinely helping you. I recommend Carmens Tailoring they were absolutely amazing and did everything these guys couldn’t and more.
