Karens and Kates need to check their expectations. Dr. Joseph is not going to hold your hand or pat your head while you cry on his shoulder. That's what a therapist does, and that is not Dr. Joseph because he's a psychiatrist. For what he does, he does it well. Some people may want an hour-long blame session for all their woes (environmental AND medical), but some people want an efficient, quick check-in call to re-up their prescriptions and that is precisely what you'll find with Dr. Joseph. Furthermore, in-person or on the phone, you will be hard-pressed to find a nicer office staff, seriously. You get what you give, people, so put some kindness out in the world. And put your expectations in check. And if you didn't receive your appointment call, turn off all the call blockers, Karen. Take some personal responsibility for your health and move on if ANY doctor doesn't help you reach that goal. But for me, Dr. Joseph has been a fantastic medical provider for the 10 years I've been his patient.

Dr. Sonny Joseph takes his time getting to know his patients and his nurse practitioner Mary is just as knowledgeable and lovely. They even do telehealth appointments to lessen the risk of getting COVID.

Dr. Joseph is wonderful. He has a background in clinical psychology, so he truly understands the importance of listening to his patient's needs. He doesn't rush you or cut you off. He is efficient and very punctual. He values your time as much as he values his time. Call office to schedule appointment. I would definitely recommend to my family and friends.
