Had a great experience today visiting the farm. The owners are so welcoming. We brought our dog and enjoyed their homemade lavender ice cream. Spent way too much at the gift shop. But I'm a softy for local spending!

Definitely recommend stopping by Loess Hills Lavender Farm. We came from Ohio to visit our son and his wife in Missouri Valley. We stayed in Council Bluffs because it was closer to alot of the attractions. We were really happy we made the trip out to the farm It was a beautiful farm. We shopped in the gift shop to for a good hour..Lol we tried some lavender ice cream that was delish. Of course ended up buying some😂 We bought a few other lotions and lavender related items as well. Really nice gift shop. Hope you really decide to go check it out you won't regret it😉

Wasn’t what I was expecting but it was still a good experience I think this lavender farm will be way nicer in a couple years

Yes 11-4
yes we sure do. $5 for 5-6 inch tall plants. They are Lavandula Angustifolia Hidcote. Dark purple, culinary and good medicinal properties. Thanks for asking. If it gets late enough in the year, we could be out, like August September. Mary Hamer Loess Hills Lavender Farm
I'm so sorry, I ended up getting that horrid COVID and have been in the hospital for a the last 10 days. I'm home and doing well, but since I was unable to take care of orders, we shut down the site for about a week here until I get back on my feet. Hoping by next week, we are back to normal. Thank-you so much for checking us out. Mary
We wore them about a month ago. If recommend just having one with you everywhere you go just in case.
We stay open until the end of October.
Oh sadly we don't have much for lavender bloom. We do have 10 acres of wildflowers and other flowers on the farm.. The gift shop is open Thur, Fri, Sat 11 to 5 and Sunday 1 to 5.
Thanks Stephanie for sharing about us.. We appreciate your kind evaluation! We are open now Thur, Fri, Sat from 11 to 5 and Sunday 1 to 5. Any other time, call for an appointment. We are not in bloom right now, but hope to see some nice color in July, Aug and September. Mary
It depends on the weather, but usually they start in Late June, then bloom big in July, but they continue to bloom until it freezes again if you don't do a complete harvest. We have replaced quite a few plants, so not a big harvest this year, but as the year has gone on they have really started to pop. Our 2 year old plants have been lightly cut just doing selective harvesting and they are reblooming very nicely now. I'm expecting that to continue into September with a nice showing. If all goes well this winter I'm expecting those to double in size and bloom next year.
Yes, the lavender in the sachet bags are culinary lavender right now. It all depends on how much of the different lavender I have. It is Folgate and I just love it for cooking, but also for smell and color for sachets. So cook away!!!
Hi Susan, if you pay with an American Express Credit Card, they give you a discount. Is this what you were wondering? On my end, we don't have much to do with that, other than taking your card payment. If you missed that option, I would be glad to honor it, but you will have to call me. Thanks Mary
Let me see if I can get one for you
Call them and ask the. They are super nice people and I'm i. Sure that they would be happy to help
I wish I could see when this was.. I just started to take this over, my son and daughter-in-law were doing it for me, but they have gotten very busy. We have some bloom, but we did loose a lot of plants this last year. So we have bloom, but not as many plants as we have had in the past. Took out over 2500 this spring.. :(
Have you checked their website for info? Or google it.
October 20th thru the 22nd in Hampton, NE.
July 17. It is always the third week in July.
We officially don't open until May 1. BUT if you would like to come by, just call or email and ask if we will be around and we can sure open up. Of course there are no flowers even green yet. That won't happen until usually in later June. If the weather continues to warm up it could be sooner, but you just never know what Mother Nature decides to throw at us. Thanks for checking!
