These officers will lie to you about the laws they are supposed to enforce. If you can prove a case against them, you will have any decisions reversed by the Civil Service Commission. They give officers extra back pay and promotions as a parting gift when officers agree to quit instead of being fired like they should have been for violations of oath. I have seen a video where they used a dog to create a fake alert to allow them to search someone’s car. They did not find anything but had plenty of excuses why their handler and dog would alert to a vehicle that had nothing in it. Officers use dogs as a way to violate your rights as the courts have deemed that a dog alert is enough to search. We have seen many times that an officer says that a dog alerted to something and nothing is found. This police department tried to sweep their problems under the rug but i am sure that it was not just one officer violating someone’s rights. It takes a uniform mentality to have a lackluster officer work for that long in a department.
