Words cannot express how wonderful this company is. They are the only company I trust to work on my AC. We just bought a new home and the AC stopped working, the previous owner told us to call the person that used to work on their units and I canceled and scheduled these guys. Also signed up for their maintenance. Very thorough and being a girl and not knowing much about home stuff, they are very good at showing and explaining to me what they have done and what they will need to do.

This company gets 5 stars from me!! The receptionist was so sweet and professional. She set my appointment up for the following morning! The gentleman who came and fix my ac unit, Hosia, was kind, knowledgeable, and quick. I will definitely be doing business with them again!

Should I replace or repair my AC unit?

Rich Watson | Sep 26, 2019
Rich Watson | Sep 26, 2019

If your unit is 10 years or older and the cost to repair it is pricey, then it could be a good time to consider replacing your ac unit. One general rule of thumb many ac repair technicians use to calculate whether it’s more cost efficient to repair or replace a unit is to multiply the repair cost by the age of the unit. If the cost of the repairs multiplied by the age of the unit (in years) exceeds $5,000, it’s reasonable to replace it.

What to do prior to your HVAC technician’s arrival?

Clear the way for your Technician to work. Your air conditioning unit is probably tucked away in a hidden corner of the home or amongst furniture or other items in your yard. Clear the path around the unit, so that your technician has plenty of room to move around and make the necessary repairs. Securing pets will ensure safety of your technician, and pets alike. Before your technician arrives, make a list of symptoms to help identify the problem. Did the unit stop working? Did it make a noise? Is there an odor? Is there a water leak? Is it not receiving power ? Is it not cooling properly? Answering questions like this with our customer service representatives when setting your appt can assist in speeding up the repair time. Shut the system off at the breaker. This will allow for any potential frozen components we cannot see to thaw, enabling your technician to perform a complete and thorough diagnostic, and prevent further damage from occurring.

What happens if I don’t change my air filters?

Rich Watson | Sep 26, 2019

The unfortunate eventual outcome of not changing your air filter, besides a higher energy bill from running an inefficient HVAC system, is that it will stop working altogether. Your HVAC system is powered by a fan motor that has to work harder when there is a clogged filter. Dust and dirt restrict airflow. This extra strain can make the motor overheat or even break, dust and dirt will recirculate throughout your home.

How long should my system last?

Rich Watson | Sep 26, 2019
Rich Watson | Sep 26, 2019

On average a system can last between 10 to 15 years with preventative maintenance. The life expectancy of any HVAC system or equipment depends on a variety of factors, weather conditions, geographical location, whether you have had preventative maintenance and service performed on them, as well as the type of equipment and your usage. We recommend you have a qualified HVAC technician perform maintenance at least twice a year on your equipment. Maintenance will prevent and catch potential issues with your air conditioner, and reduce the likelihood of failures taking place down the road.
