We spent a lovely 8 days in this lovely spot earlier this month. We were in the area to participate in a meditation retreat happening nearby. I don't think we could have picked a better place to stay. Due to our schedule we did not participate in any daytime activities, such as mountain biking (though we saw plenty of bike riders whizzing around). Our experience was limited to sleeping, the continental breakfast in the morning, dinner at the Juniper in the evening, and just enjoying the grounds. We stayed in one of the Carriage House rooms. It was a large room with classic Vermont country furnishings. Wifi was good. The bed was comfortable. The fridge was bigger than the average hotel fridge. Thankfully there was no TV. It was quiet except for birds in the morning, and once or twice a biking class of kids doing calisthenics on the hill behind. Our first dinner at the Juniper was on the first night of a new kitchen staff, including chef. It was uneven. On succeeding days the food and service (go Lucas!) got more dialed in. We had highly convivial dinners with other retreat attendees every night except two while we were there. The setting, hospitality and good drinks had something to do with this. (Must suggest that good drinks be considered for all future retreats). There is a range of indoor & outdoor seating, all with fantastic views. Continental breakfast was also a little bumpy at first with items missing, but got better throughout the stay. The plan is to have all locally sourced / baked breakfast items. The grounds and views are gorgeous. There is an avenue of old maples lining the road. The pool was inviting (see photo) though we had no suits. One thing I will say. While there are teething pains associated with new ownership, the staff was always friendly and eager to help. With that foundation, everything is fixable. I know based on an event we observed that was unrelated to our stay that Foster Goodrich, one of the owners, goes to extraordinary lengths to be kind. This place deserves to be a big success.

We came up from burlington for the weekend and the view from the pool deck is unmatched. There is a beautiful area to sit and play cornhole as well!

Everything here was ideal in my opinion. Perfect location (and I do mean PERFECT) for anyone coming to this area to ride MTB… two big trail networks lead directly from the Inn. Several spots on the property to enjoy a drink or a meal outdoors. The bike repair shop on premises even has a coffee shop and beer garden! Comfort food at dinner in the pub was very competent, breakfast the next day was equally good, everyone I met on the staff were super friendly. The room was clean and well equipped, although the furnishings are not fancy, which is fine by me as I wasn’t expecting nor interested in a posh resort. The inn’s location is simply priceless, at the top of a gorgeous valley with postcard quality views, especially at sunset. If you’re coming here to ride MTB you’ll probably giggle a little bit as you pull in, as I did, given how ideal the whole thing is. I’m writing this while still here, already thinking of when I can come back to ride again, and to stay at this quality country inn. Great job, Wildflower!

Very nice place to stay if you want to stay close to Kingdom Trails but don't want to camp. Rooms were nice, not fancy but comfortable. Having a restaurant right there is a nice option if you don't want to leave the area, although the service at the restaurant is quite slow so plan accordingly. Definitely great to wake up in the morning and go right out onto the trails.

There is no discrimination at the Wildflower Inn. The hosts are very warm and welcoming individuals!
