I had a great experience with Nicholas and his staff. Nicholas handled my case with professionalism from the beginning until the end. Nicholas and his staff were responsive, polite, knowledgeable, punctual, and supportive- I will definitely refer Nicholas to business associates and others that are seeking high quality legal representation.

i needed an attorney that i could trust, one who could manage the dynamics of my case, and could do so with efficiency and promptness. North State law exceeded these expectations, remained professional during times when i struggled to do so - and had enough of a personal touch when i needed it the most. One of the best aspects of working with North State Law was how I was able to hand my case over to Nick and his team , and go about my day without worry. We had the successful outcome i hoped for. Thank you to all involved. i appreciate each one of you for keeping me safe.

It has been a pleasure working with Nicholas. He made my entire divorce process easy and was always there when I had questions.

Questions & Answers

Would it be recommended to attend an informal hearing in front of professional licensing board members?

I would warn that any information you give a professional licensing board at an informal hearing can, and will, be used at later hearings. Boards will say that informal hearings are used to try and resolve a dispute. In reality, many Board members will take the opportunity to ask questions that can garner answers by you that will be used against you later on in the adversarial process.

Do I have a right to a hearing to try and protect my professional license?

Yes, but you need to act quickly when responding to an initial notification letter sent from your professional license board or the North Carolina Office of Administrative Hearings. Typically, the deadline to request a formal contested hearing is fifteen days from when the letter is received by the professional license holder.

How will a disciplinary action by a professional licensing board or the North Carolina Office of Administrative Hearings affect my professional license?
