You are mistaken. I never owned an escape
The controller may be bad. It has to be looked at. Maybe something else, very inexpensive but not at Dana! They are a rip-off. They will try to sell you a wheel alignment first. Use a good local mechanic.
Yes, it is best to make an appointment for services that need to be performed on the vehicle. They have a large waiting area and there is an area to charge your cell phone and the have coffee and water available.
