The absolute friendliest staff; always greeting you with a full smile. Any question you have, they'll solve it with the utmost patience. Everyone here is bilingual speaking: fluent in English and Ukrainian, and understanding of nearly every other Slavic language. This Ukrainian credit union is located on the first floor of the Ukrainian Cultural Center Dnipro, with original paintings and architecture reflecting the progress of the Ukrainian community of Buffalo. Recently, they've added a plate of sponge candy at every desk so you can discuss exactly why their rates are always lower than the "standard banks," over a tasty snack! I've begun transferring my money from all other banks to this credit union for the above reasons, and I sleep well at night knowing that everything in account is FDIC insured up to $250,000. Above all other banks, I just feel welcome here; and to be honest, sometimes I feel like stopping in just for a good conversation. When you stop in, tell Sophia, Tanya, Taras, and Stefan I say Hi!

Yes, you may open an account in the branch or online starting at our website: https://ukrainianfcu.org/. Look for "Become a Member". If you have any questions you may refer to the Regional Branch Manager, Sophia Kenn, at (716) 847-6655. Membership is subject to eligibility.

I heard you advertise on Ronnie D's polka program this morning. I am interested in the 15 month CD. Is it FDIC guaranteed? Do you have to have a checking account also to invest in a CD.

Hi Christine. Your savings with Ukrainian Federal Credit Union are federally insured to at least $250,000 and backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. Government, NCUA, National Credit Union Administration, a U.S. Government Agency. The NCUA regulates and insures the deposits of credit unions, while the FDIC regulates and insures the deposits of banks. Similar to most other credit unions, to establish membership members first open a savings account with a minimum deposit of $50. Membership is subject to eligibility, but stop into one of our convenient locations: https://ukrainianfcu.org/locations-hours/, or start your application online: https://ukrainianfcu.org/. Thanks for letting us know how you heard about us. Have a great day!
