This is a one-of-a-kind experience, and should definitely be put on the list of places to go. This is a beautifully well kept hidden gem. Only say hidden because it was kind of misleading when we came into the neighborhood, it just looked unobscure from the road. Getting checked in was extremely easy, there were very clear directions and the staff communicated with us before we ever got there. We got in kind of late and there was somebody still waiting for us. They were extremely accommodating and the food was amazing. The only downside that I will say, and it wasn't even really that big a deal, was that we expected the tub to be a little larger. We would have liked to soak together but it was one of the funniest sites to see us both try to fit into the bathtub so that idea was foregone. But the bed was one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in my life, and the linens were absolutely the softest linens. It was a little off the beaten path if you will, and took us about 15 minutes from the freeway to get there, but well worth the drive. We plan to stay again.

We've enjoyed our stay at the Governor's Mansion so far. The attic room is simple and quirky, complete with a mini fridge and kitchen sink. The room is rustic and private. Breakfast was good. A nice getaway for the price.

The Governor's Mansion is immaculate and I found the decor in keeping with the period of the house. I stayed in the Tea Rose room and there was no religious decor as others have noted. I had breakfast with the owner and her assistant...a perfect B&B experience.

Beautiful. Every thing was perfect. This is a historic old home. The house has been updated with air conditioning in such a way as to not to interfere with the historical looks of the house. For a rental property, the beds are very comfortable. The grounds are outstanding and well kept. The rates charged are fair for what you get.
