Soap Opera Laundromat - Plainfield

I've been to 4 different laundromats recently. Soap Opera is clean, the machines all seem to be in working order. That is no different than the other laundromats that I have been to. What is different is the cost. You don't use cash here. You have to purchase a reloadable card to use the machines or buy supplies. The card itself costs a dollar. Then you add money to the card. I can only speak to the dryers but it more expensive here than the other facilities that I have gone to. Those cost 25 cents for 10 minutes. Here it is 39 cents for 10 minutes. That's more than 50% higher.

Very clean, with air conditioning! Helpful staff. Downside is they've gotten away from coins and has been replaced with a card. Which you always apply more money then you need and then you need to keep track of that card. A win for them bogus for consumer. Specifically if you're not a weekly customer

I like that they have large washers. I went the the one in Shorewood, but it was locked even though the open sign was lit up. So, I went to to the one in Plainfield cause I had money on my laundry card. The attended was very nice and polite there. I would definitely go back.
