I went to visit my husbands grave and found a hole at the bottom of his head stone about 3 feet deep and a waterline running right over the top of his casket. I was mortified and an emotional wreck. When I went into the office after the hole was not taken care of and find out why this pipe was put there, the man behind the desk said they must of had a leak they had to fix. This made matters worse. All I could picture was my husbands casket filled with water. I asked why they couldn’t of went around it or I was not told about the pipe I was given no real answer. I would of never purchased that plot if I would of known this. We in trust our loved ones to them and this is how they are treated. Total disrespect as far as I am concerned

I recommend you use any facility other than this horrible cemetery. The manager has been rude to my elderly mother repeatedly after my dad passed away and was buried in this deplorable place! They have damaged his headstone with their " so called safe mowers" and had the audacity to try to say maybe the headstone was made cheap and my mother used Porterville Monument works that have been used for years with high quality headstones! They have run over the graves leaving tracks across the cemetery and only remove what they choose unlike their posted schedule. Woodville does not remove our flowers but respects our wishes to leave sentimental gifts for our dead family. They have respect and use compassion unlike this horrible place that is always the talk of the town for all the wrong reasons! Recently we put brick like stones around the headstone to keep them from damaging the headstone and they removed them saying its not allowed and when my mom pointed out the others that had it for years the manager replied I can get rid of theirs too is that what you want? This type of individual should not work in the public let alone in a place dealing with sacred ground. I will not be buried here like my mother and father but where they respect the dead and my plot is purchased already in Woodville o to make sure.

This place is very well kept up and has beautiful headstones ranging back to the 1800's. If I stay in Porterville then this is where I want to be laid to rest!

@Carmen G: The online information is based on the office hours only; Mon-Fri 7am-4pm. The cemetery always has its North Gate open 24/7 365 and anyone can visit anytime; I actually work here so the information is accurate.
They're thrown away Tuesday's
As far as the date of death etching you can contact Porterville Monument Works and they can give you the information on that Jackie; I believe it is $9 a letter but double check. Two questions about Clarence: Is the headstone currently here at Hillcrest Cemetery and have you purchased a burial plot already for him?
I actually work there Elizabeth and yes there are plot maps. When you enter the front office you can find any plot map and/or ask the lovely receptionist Tina for help finding specific friends/family and she would be happy to help.
Yes
Go to the office and ask the person, they will look up the name and guide you were it is.
