Well I got a hold of the PepBoys corporate west coast regional big wig! He is not happy first of all for having to be called on a Saturday! Man...I guess some people got it tough! Looks like I will probably get a call from Pepboys at some point today! Oh wait...when he calls, he might not be able to get through! They never answer their DAMN PHONES!!!!

If anything, they do inspections on anyones car no matter what it is used for.
I would have never taken it to them in the first place. They are barely competent enough to mount tires. Take your SUV to the dealer or a reputable garage with five star ratings. Pep Boys is a pretty good parts store, but never let those knuckleheads do any work on your vehicle. I would also include Les Schwab in that category. Les Schwab absolutely ruined the suspension on my vintage Mercedes. I ended up having to sell that car because of drivability issues caused by knucklehead mechanics who don't know which end of a wrench to use, or even how to remove them from the vehicles they work on (no kidding, they left tools under the hood of my car)... Best rule of thumb, only take your vehicles to a garage specializing in auto work...not selling parts or tires. Good luck with them, it took a year and court to get Pep Boys to do the right thing...

For any vehicle on that matter. They also gouge customers. My clutch cable went out, took it in to get replaced, serviceman said they needed to charge a diagnostic fee for 89, how do you run a fee when you know what it is? Ordered the cable an replaced it myself.
